Shangri-La Farm
Since 1978, Shangri-La Farm has been a family run boarding and breeding equine farm for clients world-wide. Situated on 115 acres of premium Argentine-Bahia grass, Shangri-La Farm was designed with oversized paddocks allowing for the perfect atmosphere for developing horses.
With seven, 10-20 acre lush pastures, 2 foaling paddocks, and a stallion paddock, we can offer flexible options to meet your equine needs. The farm has two barns containing 29 stalls, 40 outdoor feeding stalls, an almost a mile long straightaway for trot or gallop sets. Trails throughout the property offer plenty of riding options along with a 130'x300' grass arena dressage arena.
Our Story
Founded in 1978 by leading Venezuelan Triple Crown winning Thoroughbred trainer, Eduardo Azpurua, the farm has had deep ties in the Thoroughbred community. The farm has bred thousands of horses with amazing success even reaching the pinnacle of the sport, the Kentucky Derby. Eduardo's 3 sons continue in his footsteps training thoroughbreds and are heavily involved in the equine industry. The Azpurua names still resonates strong even after 45 years.
